ProfileMy doctoral Research explores the practical and policy challenges and opportunites for a modulated engagement between Scottish police forces and ethnic and racial minorities, with an emphasis on the young people, especially the second and third generation BME youth. The case study is concentrated in Govanhill, which has been identified by previous research and Police strategy documents as an area with a heavy presence of BME communities mostly Longterm residents ( The Pakistani and other Asian Communities) and the more recent arrivers ( The Romani, Poles, Czechs etc).
