The third edition of this bibliography builds on the First and Second editions, released in 2007 and 2009 respectively, with the addition of publications produced during 2009, and is offered as a starting-point for identifying material which may be of
value in researching Scottish policing. It lists recent work (726 references) which has been
carried out by researchers in Scotland and/or about policing in Scotland. It also includes
some papers and articles about policing elsewhere which resonates with key current themes in
Scottish policing. Omissions and additions are very much welcomed, and should be sent to
