Grampian Police recognises there are clear benefits for the release of police data and access to police resources for research purposes, and are committed to encouraging and assisting good quality, relevant research.
In order to provide clarity regarding how external researchers should contact the Force and what the Force requirements are, a new formal method by which applications may be made has been written. It is hoped that this Protocol will facilitate the submission of quality applications and a closer, more mutually beneficial working relationship between the academic community and Grampian Police.
