The Scottish Institute for Policing Research (SIPR) and Scottish Centre for Crime and Justice Research (SCCJR) were delighted to host an event for early career researchers and PGR students involved in policing and/or crime related research to explore how we can generate impact from research. We heard from two speakers. First, Dr Oona Brooks-Hay discussed what is meant by ‘impact’ and the various forms and purposes of, and pathways to impact. Professor Liz Aston then discussed some examples of her own impact and reflected on the lessons she has learned.
