New Funding Scheme Launched: “Think Big” Leverage Fund

SIPR is excited to launch our new funding scheme the “Think Big” Leverage Fund.

The purpose of these grants are to provide researchers and their host institutions with support to apply to larger, competitive research council funds (such as ESRC, EPSRC, Leverhulme, Carnegie, Horizon Europe etc.).

Funding may be requested for a variety of purposes to ease administrative burdens, improve application quality, and increase the competitiveness of proposals, for example:

  • offsetting non-recoverable costs involved in preparing proposals at pre-award stages (i.e. travel costs for bringing teams together to write applications
  • funding peer review and professional editing of applications;
  • Contributing towards budgets within applications for teaching relief, fieldwork costs or equipment, software etc
  • dissemination resourcing including supporting the creation off publications, contributing toward events, or engaging expertise for innovative dissemination activities (e.g. engaging a graphic designer etc)
