Profile:

Scott joined the SVRU in January 2020 as the Training and Development Officer having graduated from Stirling University with a BA in Teaching (TQFE) on completion of 30 years police service. He has designed, delivered and evaluated national training within and outwith Police Scotland on behalf of the SVRU and Police Scotland. He has a Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Counselling and Groupwork and is a practising Therapist. He is currently a Project Manager with extensive experience and a portfolio ranging from applying a public health and place-based approach to work within education settings and harm and violence reduction within homeless communities.

Research:

I have an interest in applying the public health approach to reducing violence across Scotland through implementation of innovative interventions primarily through education.
