I hold a PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of Sheffield and a MSt in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy from the University of Oxford. I am a Chartered Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS), an experienced coach accredited at the Senior Practitioner level with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC), and a qualified counsellor registered with both the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and Counselling & Psychotherapy in Scotland (COSCA). I am also a Counselling Skills Trainer accredited by COSCA and a Supervisor registered on the BPS Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors (RAPPS).
Currently, I hold multiple roles across academic, professional, and policing contexts:
• Senior Teaching Fellow, Department of Psychological Sciences and Health, University of Strathclyde
• Panel Tutor, MSt in Coaching, University of Cambridge
• Associate Leadership Coach, College of Policing
• Special Constable, Police Scotland
My research interests lie in the use of coaching within the policing context, supporting the wellbeing of police officers and staff, working with minority and marginalised groups, and exploring the potential use of AI in police training.
