📢 SIPR Researchers: Join Our Virtual Writing Retreats to Enhance Your Productivity!

We are delighted to announce that Professor Kirsteen Grant, SIPR Associate Director (Development), will host a series of 90-minute Virtual Writing Retreats (VWRs) commencing on Wednesday, 22nd October. These sessions, scheduled fortnightly on Wednesdays, are open to all SIPR researchers, including doctoral candidates, providing a structured and collaborative environment to advance your writing projects.

Why Participate? ✍️📚

Amid the demands of academic and professional life, writing can often feel solitary. Our VWRs offer:

Dedicated Writing Time: A focused 90-minute slot to progress your work.
Supportive Community: Foster accountability and motivation through shared commitment.

Flexible Attendance: Join for the full session or as your schedule permits.
Proven Outcomes: Past participants have developed PhD chapters, journal articles, and conference papers.

Networking Opportunities: Connect with colleagues sharing similar research interests in an informal setting.

Session Format

The format is straightforward yet highly effective:
Introduction: Participants briefly outline their writing objectives.
Writing Period: 90 minutes of focused writing (cameras on or off, as preferred).

Conclusion: Reflect on progress and share achievements with the group.

How to Register 😊

To join, please send a brief email to Professor Kirsteen Grant to express your interest. You will receive a recurring MS Teams calendar invitation every two weeks, allowing you to attend sessions at your convenience without the need for individual RSVPs or apologies.
