Background: I retired 6 years ago from Police Scotland after 30 years service during which time I served with Thames Valley Police (1984 – 1988), Central Scotland Police (1988 – 2013) and Police Scotland (2013-2014). My service included secondments to the Scottish Criminal Records Office (2000 – 2003) and to the Scottish Police College (2008-2011) where I was Head of Probationer Training for 1 year and then Head of Leadership & Professional Developmet for 2 years.
