My PhD research entitled, 'South Asian Women & Domestic Abuse in Scotland: An uncertain legal status and no recourse to public funds’ was completed in January 2017.
My current research interests include women’s issues and specifically gender based violence affecting women from a minority ethnic background.
I am employed with Hemat Gryffe Women’s Aid, Glasgow. The organisation provides safe temporary refuge accommodation and outreach services to women primarily from the Asian, black and minority ethnic community experiencing domestic abuse, forced marriage and honour based violence.

Research:

Women from a minority ethnic background experiencing domestic violence & their interaction with the Police. Migrant women and domestic violence & the police. Women who have no recourse to public funds and their involvement with the police.
