Assistant Chief Constable David Duncan is the executive lead for the implementation of Police Scotland’s Policing Together strategy.
Policing Together is the initiative to drive improvements to how policing in Scotland reflects, represents and serves all our communities. Having been launched on 30 September 2022, the programme seeks to ensure the Police Scotland values of integrity, fairness, respect and a commitment to upholding human rights are at the heart of all they do.
ACC Duncan joined legacy Strathclyde Police in 1995. He has served in a range of local policing, detective and support roles. In 2019 he was promoted to Chief Superintendent, working in Safer Communities prior to transferring to the role of Divisional Commander of Renfrewshire and Inverclyde in 2021.
He was appointed ACC in January 2023 and in his current role he is responsible for giving effect to Chief Constable Sir Iain Livingstone’s commitment to becoming an anti-racist service.
